đź’¬ More engaging communications, shaped by your feedback
✍️ Format your Posts and Campaigns
Posts and Campaigns now support rich-text formatting, so your important updates are easier to read and act on. Previously, posts were plain text, which made it harder to call out key details, organize steps or point staff to the right resources.
You can now use bold, italic and underline, add links, create bulleted and numbered lists, and @ mention people, groups, Knowledge Base articles and jobs. Your formatting shows in the app and in notification emails. For example, a head office team can send a new menu launch post with the key dates in bold, the prep steps as a numbered list, and a mention of the recipe article, so each venue has everything it needs in one place.
Mentioning a person or group still adds them to the audience, and mentioning an article or job still attaches it. Existing posts have been updated so their links and mentions display correctly.
You’ll find the new formatting options in the editor when you create or edit a post in the Communications area.
📊 Add polls to posts
You can now add a poll to a general post to collect quick feedback from your teams. Previously, getting input from staff meant chasing replies in comments or running a survey somewhere else.
The post itself is the poll question. You add the answer options and choose whether people can pick more than one. Anyone who can see the post can vote, and they can change their vote later. For example, an operations manager can ask venues which training session time suits them best and see the answers come in from one post.
You’ll find the poll option when you create a general post in the Communications area.
đź“° A richer Comms Hub dashboard widget
The Comms Hub widget on your dashboard now leads with each post’s photo or video, so updates catch your team’s eye. Previously, the widget gave a simpler preview, so staff had to open posts to see what they were about.
Now, posts with several photos show as a collage, and videos play muted while they’re on screen. You can click through to the full post from the widget. You can also filter the Comms Hub and Campaigns widgets, and the filters you’ve applied show as chips so you can see at a glance what you’re looking at. For example, a venue manager starting a shift can see the latest promo video playing on the dashboard and tap straight into the post for the details.
You’ll find this in the Comms Hub and Campaigns widgets on your dashboard.
